Each year as part of the Ed Reavy Festival, we run the prestigious Ed Reavy International Fiddler of the Year Competition. The competition commenced in 2016 and has been held each year on the Saturday afternoon of the festival weekend, but like many other events, it had to be postponed for 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Thankfully, we are in a position to commence running the event again in 2022, however this year we will only run the Under 18 Competition – No Senior Competition for 2022 unfortunately. Details of previous winners are detailed below.
The 2022 competition will take place at 12 noon in the Town Hall Theatre, Town Hall Street, Cavan
