Six programmes recorded in High-Definition by Forefront Productions

A series of six television programmes from the Cavan Fleadh (our last one) presented by John Creedon and Aoibhinn Ní Shuilleabhaín, will be shown on RTÉ 1 starting on Friday Nov 2nd at 7.30pm. The series will feature performances from musicans from Ireland, Britain, America, Newfoundland, Russia and the Czech Republic.

The series will feature a host of musicans who performed at the Fleadh including Paddy Keenan, Damien Mullane, Gerry O’Connor, Graham Wells, John Spillane, Billy McComiskey, Martin Donohoe, Donal Donnelly and Conor Moriarty.

Amoung the groups featured are Ciorras, Goitse, Kan, Guidewires, Moxie, The Dave Stone Quartet, Fidil, and Cavan groups GLEO and Fidléiri Sean Maguire.

The programme will also feature coverage of the Scoil Eigse including Tutors Concert and competitions including the Senior Céili Band Competition.

The 2012 All Ireland Fleadh in Cavan was recorded in High Definition for

the first time.
